An Open Letter To Full Sail University
To Whom It May Concern:
First and foremost, I am extremely thankful for the chance to attend Full Sail University and the opportunities which have already started to filter my way. I believe that Full Sail’s competitive edge is in regard to the industry experts who instruct us. It is my opinion that Full Sail far exceeds the moral requirements, standards, and student opportunities of a traditional university.
However, with that said, I believe that there is something terribly wrong with some of the classrooms, namely in the FS3 F building. That problem being the seating, which is far worse than any public education system. Full Sail University is a private school, costing upwards of eighty thousands dollars for a degree.
I respect Full Sail’s decision to create inside waterfalls, sell pizza at $2.50 per slice and build a state-of-the-art show production building. However, what about the seating? What about the condition of the parking lots? The most basic aspects of a university- an appropriate place to sit and work while in class, and a place to park your car while you’re in class, are seriously lacking. In fact, it is embarrassing. I would go into the facade of some of the buildings (namely FS4 buildings), but Full Sail has been working on those with excellent results as of late. Then again, we could talk about the incorrect PDF map of the web design building(s)….
The bottom line is that every student I have spoken to absolutely despise the horrible chairs in FS3 F. After cutting check after check to Full Sail, it’s right down insulting to have to sit in these desk/chair combinations which make it hard to use our laptops on and write on; it’s impossible to have a book and a sheet of paper on your desk without having the book on your lap. Give me a freakin’ break, this is ridiculous.
Full Sail: Please provide proper classroom tools for our education. We’re paying you to do so.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Buff
